"For Keeps"

Your velvet lips painted black
your eyes filled with grey
You tread in the darkness
amongst the dead you live and play

Your locked up beyond the gates
I penetrate the rusty lock
In the cold I tremble alone
amongst the dead I warmly walk

Deep in this forest of graves
I hold a candle full of light
I can see you in the silence
your darker than the night

My candle now a vigil
I mount it on your stone
Im waiting for your face
your black veil hides the bone

We were to be married
a wedding dress made of black
Your addictions in the dark
put your heart under attack

I pulled you in a carriage
your lovely coffin snug inside
You never looked so beautiful
as you did the day you died

I buried you in your gown
and your veil to hide your tears
With a ring made of amethyst
to absorb all your fears

I yearn to dig with my hands
to wake you from your sleep
Your heart belongs to me
and mine is always yours to keep

I  will be yours forever
deaths filled me with despair
I cant stand to be apart
and death will always be there

Tempting and mocking me
when I want to be near
Sending me dreams of our love
and how our love was so dear

Tonight I miss your touch
on your tombstone I weep
The memories are strong
I cried myself to sleep

Death sent me a gift
as  I slept on your grave
He asked if I was ready
i answered i'll be brave
